Between being legally married when they first got together and him fathering a child during a “break,” Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have seen their share of ups and downs before celebrating their first wedding anniversary recently. But now, they are going strong and he is revealing the secret to their success; and it’s a little different than most might think.

Wade got candid with People magazine and said that it’s actually their imperfections that make it work between them.

“I think the one thing is, we are imperfect,” he said Friday. “We stick together through it all - through the great times, through the bad times. You can get behind love, and you can get behind someone who is not deemed as perfect, you know.”

He said that is also what helps fans relate to them.

“Okay, they make mistakes just like we make mistakes, and this is how they figure it out — they still love each other and they keep going the next day.”

So will fans ever be able to get a peek into their lives through a reality show? Not if Wade has a say.

“I hope not…” he confessed. “We don’t have a lot of privacy as it is.”

Still, their romantic comedy wedding short got lots of attention, so there is a chance we’ll see that on the big screen.

“Yeah, it would be pretty cool. So you never know what’s to come…maybe a rom-com, I’m with that!”
