It seems like Helen Mirren is being seriously considered for a part in Fast and Furious 8, if Vin Diesel is to be trusted.

Could Mia Toretto Return For Furious 7 Sequel?  

In a recent interview with MTV News, Diesel talked about prospective additions to the cast for the sequel of Furious 7, he jokingly warned Mirren, that she should have been careful what she wished for. Recently, Elijah Wood, who had recently stated that he wanted to play Dominic Toretto's son in Fast and Furious 8. When Diesel was asked if Wood would get the opportunity, he suggested that the young actor would have to get in line

"I think everyone should do the franchise. They've gotta get in line behind Helen Mirren. She is on the list. Be careful what you wish for, Helen," he said.

The Wire's Idris Elba To Join Fast and Furious 8?  

Dame Mirren had casually suggested that she would love to act in Furious 7 in an interview earlier this year.

This is not the first time Diesel has expressed his excitement at getting Mirren on baord. The actor had previously suggested that the door was wide open for her. Diesel told Access Hollywood that he wouldn't need to think twice about that. "Of course I would! Who wouldn't? It's Helen," he said.

Speaking to the Huffington Post, the actress revealed her penchant for driving on screen and stated that she also jokingly kept "putting feelers out" to get the producers' attention so she could get in on the action in Fast and Furious 7.

"I loved driving my Land Rover. I did my own sort of stunt driving, if you could call it that. I was driving through the Scottish countryside, not being able to see where I'm going because there are two cameras strapped to the front of that vehicle. So it was a kind of stunt driving, and that was really fun. I loved that. I always love stunt driving," she said. "I do as much driving on my movies as I can. If there's driving stuff to be done, I always beg or insist on doing it myself. Little-known fact: Helen Mirren, stunt driver. I'd love to be in a 'Fast & Furious' movie. I keep putting feelers out. I'd love to do Fast & Furious. I love Vin Diesel as well. He doesn't understand, I think he's so cool."

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
