The next episode of Nashville might leave Maddie confused on who she can trust.

In a promo released last Wednesday, Maddie is talking to Juliette about how she feels ready "for things." Juliette realizes that she's talking about a guy she's seeing and Maddie might be willing to take things further.

As these girls spend more time together, Juliette is told that she shouldn't be trying to come off as the "cool mom" for another person's daughter just because Avery took off with her own child.

So when Maddie talks to her actual mom, Rayna, she tells her daughter that she's only 16 and she should not look up to Juliette as her role model. And with the way things have been going for Juliette, Rayna is probably right at that point.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed from Us Weekly this week that Hayden Panettiere (Juliette) is taking a medical leave from the series as she seeks medical treatment for postpartum depression.

Her rep told the site, "Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy at this time."

This gives insight if the actress's character will be written out of the show while she gets the help she needs. As of now, that has yet to be confirmed or denied.

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
