Noah is about to break some bad news to Alison on The Affair.

In a sneak peek of the next episode released on Monday, Noah and Alison are having lunch together where she's giving the man some tips on places to live. She's really excited about moving in with him, but Noah gives the impression that he has something important to say.

So Alison tries to be supportive and asks how court went for Noah as he faces a nasty split battle with his wife, Helen. As he picks up the guts to tell her what's going on, he says that it's best they don't live together right now.

He claims it's because Helen is making things worse for him in this battle. She said that he screamed at her, making her look like she was traumatized. Alison isn't surprised about this, but with the way things are going, the judge issued an order against Alison saying she can't be near Noah and Helen's kids.

Alison is shocked that the judge would be able to issue an order like that, but clearly there's not much Noah can do about this.

The scene ends with the two just confused on what they should do next since every time they have a plan with a happy ending, it just falls apart.
