President Fitz and Olivia Pope might have been a united front against their haters on last week’s episode of ABC's Scandal, but now his presidency might be at risk when his wife Mellie leads the movement to try to impeach him.

The network released a brand new teaser to hold us over until the new episode airs Thursday night.

In the sneak peek Fitz is livid when he hears that he has been hit with a possible impeachment.

“I knew they were gonna come after me…I haven’t committed any impeachable offenses.”

But the Attorney General David schools him and lets him know that he indeed had committed an “impeachable offense” simply because Congress said so.

“This isn’t a normal trial Mr. President. It’s a political trial. If you survive these hearings you’re still president. If you don’t, you’re not. You need to talk to a lawyer now.”

He then sets the record straight that he couldn’t be his lawyer as he represents the United States, but he does offer up a recommendation.

He then orders Fitz not to speak with Olivia or he could be hit with even more charges like “obstruction of justice” and “witness tampering.”

“They won’t just cost you your presidency, they’ll put you in jail.”

A synopsis for the episode reads, “Olivia knows she can’t handle this latest storm on her own and calls for help from an unlikely source. Meanwhile, Mellie and Cyrus continue to pull strings from the sidelines and Jake is still occupied by a ghost from his past.”

Scandal airs Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC.
