Paul Walker's memory will be kept well and alive even through Fast and Furious 8, judging by recent interviews that main stars of the film, like Michelle Rodriguez and Vin Diesel have been giving.
A new report also hints to the fact that Walker's vision will be respected and considered for the Furious 7 sequel. Movie Pilot sourced an interview with Rodriguez in which she clearly states what Walker hoped for the series going forward and how she wished that would be the direction they would take.
"[Paul Walker] wanted to bring it back down to the core, which is the racing. He was always complaining about the special effects and the blue screens," she said.
She went onto the allude to the fact that she and Diesel were very much mindful of Walker's vision and will be steering the franchise back to its roots, as Walker wished it.
"I think that's what Vin [Diesel] meant when [he said] his main focus on the next one will be trying to keep it true to that car audience," she said. "Hopefully we'll be able to do that cause it's gotten bigger than ever and you know we also have to stay true to that so it'll be a challenge."
Diesel has also mentioned Walker in most every interview in which he has talked about the film, and always brings up what the deceased actor had in mind for the franchise, sharing his thoughts with fans even today.
Fast and Furious 8 will release April 15, 2017.
