A new singer is coming to Nashville with some baggage up her sleeve.

Chatter On Rayna's Love Life On 'Nashville'

On Wednesday, TV Line announced that a singer-songwriter named Cash Gray will play a recurring role on the ABC series. After becoming more well-known and writing some songs with Kacey Musgraves, she has a re-connection with her estranged father, Frankie, who used to be an alcoholic. It was also mentioned that Cash might meet Rayna where some tension could take place.

The character is supposed to join in the tenth episode of the season, which is conveniently around the time Juliette is going to be seen in less episodes. Ever since it was announced that Hayden Panettiere (Juliette) was taking time off for medical leave, one might assume that Cash is filling in for Juliette's absence. But that's actually not the case.

Is Juliette About To Hit Rock Bottom On 'Nashville?'

A source said, "The role of Cash was planned long before" Panettiere's departure.

Cash will be played by Jessy Schram who's known for playing Cinderella in ABC's Once Upon a Time. Schram's other credits include American Pie Presents The Naked Mile, Unstoppable and Keith.

The country drama has had its share of drama lately especially with Juliette's erratic behavior. The promo below shows how serious it's gotten when the singer attacks a fan and it gets all over the news. Is Juliette going to get so out of control that she'll consider taking her own life?

See it below.

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
