Raven Symone Reveals Surprising Facts About 'That's So Raven'

In the latest episode of The View, the daytime talk show co-host opened up on the South Carolina incident when an officer went into a high school classroom and apparently knocked a female student out of her chair and dragged her across the floor after she wouldn't put her phone away. According to CNN, Spring Valley High School Resource Officer Ben Fields was fired.

So what did Symone have to say about this? As it turns out, she actually thinks the student holds some responsibility. But she still stands by that the officer should not have done what he did.

"The girl was told multiple times to get off the phone," the co-host reported. "There's not right or reason for him to be doing this type of harm, that's ridiculous. But at the same time, you got to follow the rules in school. First of all, why are there cellphones in school? This shouldn't even be a problem to begin with, and he shouldn't have been acting like that on top of it."

This led into a discussion with the other co-hosts on how this officer has had reported history of abuse as well as saying that children lack "respect for authority."

By the end of the conversation, Symone advised students to "get off your phone."
