Hillary Clinton's comments as a guest on The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert might just have given the creators of The Good Wife some hope.

The Democratic nominee, spoke to Colbert about binge-watching a whole bunch of shows and listed The Good Wife and Madame Secretary in her playlist. While revealing her appreciation for these CBS shows, she also mentioned that Madelaine Albright made a guest appearance as herself in Madame Secretary a couple of weeks ago. At which point, Colbert intervened asking her if that made her jealous. "A little," she responded. At which point Colbert joked about how he could talk to the people at the network: "I know people." Clinton played along, suggesting that would be great but she could commit only after November, which is by when the debates for the Democratic candidate would be through.

Interestingly enough, Clinton's love of The Good Wife has come up a bunch of times before and there is good reason for the showrunners to ask her to make an appearance as in the show Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) is running against Clinton in the show for Democratic nomination for the presidential elections.

Interestingly, though, Peter is not gunning for the position of president but for vice president, and playing second fiddle to Clinton once she snags the main role in the White House. Anyhow, this storyline is obviously very ambitious and would be a tough one to write, as Clinton's campaign will run parallely.

In fact even in Clinton's leaked emails it was revealed that she really followed the show as she asked her secretary for the showtimes of the series.

In a recent interview co-creator Robert King addressed the question that is probably on everybodies minds: "Will the show explore Hillary as a person, at all?"

King was cautious about answering this one:

"Can we put an asterisk here? What we're doing is we're showing how a campaign like Peter Florrick's, the governor of a big democratic state, would rely on the fact that Obama came from that state, and try to play into it. He's only talking about the competition with Hillary and Bernie Sanders to show that it's happening in that real world. We don't go deeply into these other politicians as people. It's more as background to the Florrick campaign's political ops."

The next episode, titled 'Payback', is set to air on Nov. 1.
