Zachary Quinto Opens Up On 'Bigoted Hatred' & Caitlyn Jenner

The actor appears on the cover of Attitude where he talks about his previous performance in Tony Kushner's AIDS-themed show Angels in America. This made him think about awareness and having sexual freedom.

"Had I been born a few years earlier I would have been in the sweep of that epidemic, there's no question about it," Quinto said via Friday's report from Digital Spy. "So maybe there's a proximity alert that goes off for me. I'm not trying to say that people shouldn't take PrEP, or that people shouldn't have sex, or that sex isn't amazing. It is. I'm just saying we should support each other and be responsible, whatever that means to you."

The actor added that sex is nothing to be ashamed of as long as the individual is being smart and staying safe.

"Have as much sex as you want, and any way you want to have it, as long as you're accountable to the person you're engaging with," he said. "I don't think, frankly, that's a controversial thing to say."

Having been in a long term relationship with his current boyfriend, Miles McMillan, Quinto pointed out his thoughts on "slut shaming."

"People said something about 'slut shaming.' I'm like, 'Come on, please, that's absurd. I love sluts,'" he said.
