Protests At The University Of Missouri Are Raising Questions About Freedom Of The Press
A protest group at the University of Missouri, as well as administrative officials and professors from the school, are the focus in a renewed conversation about the Freedom of the Press.
The group, #ConcernedStudent1950, blocked a student photographer from taking photos at their campsite on the school's grounds, and received help from school administrators in pushing the reporters away. The protest is about increasing awareness and action of racial issues on the campus.
What becomes notable about the protest group's resistance to the media is that their school houses the country's largest and oldest school of Journalism in the United States.
