Variety caught up with actors Kurt Russell and Bruce Dern at the recently held Governors Awards 2015.

Quentin Tarantino Won't Back Down In Face Of Police Boycott Of The Hateful Eight

Spike Lee was given an honorary Oscar at the ceremony and The Hateful Eight crew including Quentin Tarantino, Channing Tatum, Russell and Dern was out there. Russell told the publication that the movie is worthy of multiple viewings, crediting cinematographer Bob Richardson's vision and how the experience keeps getting richer as you notice newer things in the frame on second glance. "I've seen it three times and I can't wait to see it again," he said.

Russell plays the part of John "The Hangman" Ruth and Dern portrays General Sandord "Sandy" Smithers.

Dern expressed gratitude to Tarantino for having cast him in the film and given him the opportunity to grow as an actor.

"There's a lot of different kinds of acting going on in the film," he said. "But Quentin gave me a chance to get better."

Recently, a Deadline report revealed some interesting details about the film, including the fact that it will actually be about three hours long -- not really a surprise coming from Tarantino. In other exciting news, it was also revealed 100 70mm projectors were put together by TWC for the movie's roadshow. This version will be different from what will play at the multiplex.

The movie will release on Dec. 25, 2015.
