Nothing says Thanksgiving on Fox's Bones like rampant paranoia!

Why Isn't 'Bones' On Fox's Midseason Schedule?

The next episode of Bones is titled High Treason in the Holiday Season and centers on the Jeffersonian team delving deep into a recent murder of a journalist investigating the NSA.

Fox has released a plot synopsis for the episode, which reads as follows:

"The team investigates the high-stakes murder of a political journalist who was found dead after recently publishing an article exposing corruption in the NSA. Due to the nature of the investigation, Hodgins' [T.J. Thyne] paranoia takes over as the team realizes their every move is being watched. Meanwhile, Brennan [Emily Deschanel] secretly tries to plan a surprise for Booth [David Boreanaz] and the whole team celebrates Thanksgiving together."

Should 'Bones' Do A Crossover With 'Empire'?

Despite the possible intensity of this situation involving the NSA potentially spying on the Jeffersonian, the promo is more focused on the Thanksgiving storyline. Brennan informs Booth and Aubrey (John Boyd) that, "Human and turkey tissue share remarkably similar texture!"

Aubrey tells Cam (Tamara Taylor), if the turkey's not a turkey, I'm going to the diner." It looks like the whole gang is having Thanksgiving dinner at Brennan and Booth's this year.

The episode will air on Thursday in the regular timeslot.

The show will then take a hiatus until Dec. 10, where Fox will be airing two all-new episodes back to back. One is titled The Cowboy in the Contest and the other is titled The Doom in the Boom.

Bones airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox.
