The "Where Are You Now" singer has been pretty emotional this year since the release of his album Purpose.

The young singer sat down in an interview with Z100 host and ET special correspondent Elvis Duran, talking about his softer side and how it has affected him to become a better version of himself.

"It's an emotional time in my life for sure," Bieber reveals. "I've been having a lot of cries lately -- good cries, bad cries, just all around being emotional."

Justin Bieber Killed It On The 'TODAY Show' This Morning

It all started with the MTV Video Music Awards in August, when Bieber broke down on-stage immediately following his performance of "Where Are U Now?," ET wrote. More recently, the 21-year-old singer burst into tears while singing "I'll Show You" during one of his album launch celebration concerts at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Nov. 13, where he admitted, "I just felt like I lost my place for a while."

Though the Canadian singer has been exhibiting his emotional side, this could actually lead to a very positive change.

"I just said, 'What am I going through? What am I feeling?' and basically just poured my heart out into this album and made something real," Bieber reflected.

Selena Gomez's ex is more in touch with emotions now than when he was a teenager, it is evidently shown in his music. Biener's new album Purpose is his most personal album yet.

On a different note, reports say that the singer is making a move to apologize to UFC superstar Ronda Rousey about the recent incident that involved her sister. Rousey's sibling asked for a picture from Bieber at the Cannes Festival, but the singer reportedly snubbed Rousey's sister.

"Supposedly she asked for a picture with her sister and I guess I said no," Bieber said. "I don't remember this happening but, Ronda, I'm sorry. Don't kick my ass."
