Since Thanksgiving is just a few days away we have given guidance through roundups for the perfect cocktails to serve with your feast as well as five of the quickest and easiest turkey recipes.

Thanksgiving would not be complete without all of those delicious sides, though, which is why we also gave a roundup on some non-traditional mashed potatoes recipes and mouthwatering stuffing recipes that will leave you wanting more.

Here's one more side though that begs included: the cranberry sauce. Though maybe the most polarizing of the grand Thanksgiving feast, it is part of the tradition for many, so we have a handful of recipes that might make it just a bit more tasty and interesting this year.

Orange-Scented Cranberry Sauce
This recipe from Martha Stewart very subtly raises the stakes from ordinary to extraordinary by adding in orange juice and zest. The infusion of orange makes the cranberries less biting so it'll be a more inviting side dish.

Cranberry and Dried-Cherry Relish
Again, cranberries are a staple of Thanksgiving meals, but this recipe from Martha Stewart just elevates the traditional with a bit more zing. Plus, this isn't just your typical cranberry sauce, given its relish consistency.

Cinnamon Apple Cranberry Sauce
Who doesn't love the combination of cinnamon and apples? Add in cranberries and you have quite the jazzed up sauce. Food Network's Aaron McCargo, Jr.'s recipe has sweetness and warmth, which is perfect for fall.

Cranberry-Pear Relish
The Food Network Kitchen staff is wow-ing people with this cranberry relish that has the addition of pears. There is also some citrus in here so the flavors really blend well and will probably make you refuse to ever go back to basic cranberry sauce.

Spicy Cranberry Salsa
Now this Food Network Kitchen staff-concocted recipe is neither a relish nor a sauce. It's rather a potent salsa, which definitely switches things up when it comes to tradition with the cranberry component of Thanksgiving dinner! If you are a fan of heat, this is exactly what you need at Thanksgiving to have an added kick.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving meals and may the cranberry sauce actually be enjoyed this year thanks to these recipes!
