The Walking Dead has some intensely devoted fans, but one especially excitable fan was so overwhelmed that she took a literal bite out of Norman Reedus.

The fan posted a photo via Instagram apologizing to the actor for her behavior, more commonly reserved for the fictitious undead and agitated toddlers. In her apology, the crazed explained, "Finally meet the love of my life, and get banned from the rest of the CON and lose two more $100 photo ops with him because I lost my mind...got so excited standing beside him... & just turned my head and bit him! I don't know what came over me. It wasn't my intention to hurt him. I'm sorry Norman!"

According to reports, the impulse bite occurred during a photo opportunity with Reedus- who plays the beloved, Daryl Dixon- at the Walker Stalker Con in New York/New Jersey. The encounter was presumably more aggressive than an awkward nibble, since the fan was promptly booted from the convention. The actor later addressed the incident with a smoldering but lighthearted Instagram photo, where he was pictured wearing a t-shirt reading, "bite me" along with the caption, "DO NOT BITE ME".

In fairness, the fan who bit Reedus isn't alone in her outlandish reaction, according to reports, fans have requested that Reedus lick them, bite them, essentially inviting him to defile them in whatever way he pleases. The actor, having seen fan reactions that run the gamut of weird, did not press charges.
