A TVLine spoiler report addresses one of the most pressing questions fans of How to Get Away With Murder have on their minds after the fall finale of season 2: will Annalise and crew go behind bars for the night of the shooting?

Frank And Laurel To Become An Official Couple Going Forward? 

According to showrunner Pete Nowalk, most probably not. Nowalk told the entertainment website that Annalise (Viola Davis) will find her way around this sticky situation.

"There will be forensic experts all up in there. Sinclair was an ADA, so she's a high-profile victim," Nowalk said. "Still, what I've learned from real law-enforcement people who talk to us is that forensic science is actually very much up to interpretation. Annalise, as a defense attorney, knows that creating a mess [at the scene] is the best strategy. But whether it works or not, we'll find out very quickly."

Will Nate Rat Annalise Out?  

In other news, Nowalk has signed on for a three year contract with ABC which will see him continue in the role of executive producer and showrunner ofHow to Get Away With Murder and additionally he will be tasked with developing new projects. Deadline stated that this means the Viola Davis series will quite certainly be renewed for another season.

Right now, season 2 of How to Get Away With Murder is on hiatus through the holidays after it's pretty thrilling fall finale. Recently the mid-season premiere date for the show was also revealed. The ABC series is set to return with the rest of this chapter on February 11, 2016.

The finale episode, titled "What Did We Do?," aired on ABC on Nov. 19.
