It is really amazing to be reunited with someone special to you. It is even more special to be reunited with one of the member of the family who rescued your life. This was especially true when 77-year-old Michael Hochberg reunited with 86-year-old Krystyna Jakubowska at the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.

These two old individual have a long history between them. When Hochberg was only 4-year-old during the dreaded World War II, he was rescued by Jakubowska's family from the hands of the Nazis. This was a dangerous move because Hochberg is a Jewish boy, and the family of Jakubowska faced the risk of death penalty for hiding a Jew in German-occupied Poland.

Jakubowka's family hid Hochberg for two years before they decided to bring the then young boy to a Jewish orphanage after the war. After that, Hochberg was claimed by a relative and started his own family while Jakubowska also started her own family.

70 years later, they were reunited once again and emotions went high between Hochberg and Jakubowska. This was truly a very special moment between the survivor and his rescuer.
