Sharna Burgess has had incredible success on ABC's Dancing With the Stars this year, but there was one celebrity partner in the past with which she never had a spark.

Burgess is coming off a second place finish with Nick Carter in the latest season of Dancing With the Stars, and a third place finish with Noah Galloway the season before. The Mirrorball trophy seems like the logical next step, but she didn't always have this success.

The pro dancer spoke with Glamour recently about one partner she just never connected with on Dancing With the Stars.

"For me, I had a little trouble connecting with Keyshawn Johnson, and I don't think he was so sure whether he really was excited about doing the show until he really saw what it was about," Burgess revealed. "I think he came in with a preconceived idea, and that was the feeling that I got. There was no chemistry until we were eliminated, and he was like, 'I get it now.' That's not to say he's not an awesome dude, but we just didn't connect on that level."

She praised another previous partner, Tavis Smiley, as a "sweetheart," adding, "We didn't get very far--we were in and out really quickly! He was again, such an awesome man and so intelligent. I feel like I got smarter every time I spoke to him, but we haven't necessarily stayed in contact. It was a fun journey, and then it ended."

It is not clear if Burgess will return for season 22 in the spring, but now that she's tasted the finals twice in a row, it may be hard to resist the urge to compete again.

Dancing With the Stars returns for another season on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
