Transformers 5 To Feature Two Storylines?

Although, it was a simply yes to the question, and the actor revealed nothing more about the movie, it is reassuring to hear from Wahlberg about his involvement.

In fact Wahlberg was the first to reveal important details about the film.

Wahlberg was the first to strongly hint at the fact that Michael Bay will be coming back to direct Transformers 5 in an interview with Collider.

Wahlberg was specifically asked if he had any details on the development of the film. The actor stated that he didn't know much, but inadvertently slipped that Bay is very much on board, despite all the rumors about him ditching the franchise that had been swirling about.

"I don't. Just that Akiva [Goldsman] and those guys are starting to write and break stories, and stuff like that," he said. "But [Michael] Bay is in Malta shooting Benghazi, and I'm in New Orleans shooting Deepwater. We'll get together when he gets back."

The interviewer asked Wahlberg if he was certain that Bay would finally direct it, to which Wahlberg responded in the affirmative.

In a previous interview Wahlberg had confirmed that he will be returning for the sequel of Age of Extinction as Cade Yaeger. There has been no confirmation about the other actors, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor, coming back.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
