Everyone Faces Their Deepest Emotions On 'The Affair'

In a sneak peek released on Sunday, Noah is sitting on the beach with his ex as there appears to be some awkward tension between them- something that's pretty much existed since day one. But this time, Noah might spill his guts out about how everything went down ever since he met Alison.

He tells Helen that he has "something awful" to say, which is something she can handle. So he says that he never wanted Joanie. But that changed once he got to know her.

He adds that he felt like Alison tried to trap him when she told him she was pregnant. He couldn't believe she would tell him this especially because that would decrease his chances of ever working it out with Helen.

This makes Helen wonder something important- did Noah actually consider going back to her?

Noah looks at her with an interesting glare, but the scene ends here.

It's possible that Noah would've considered working things out with Helen if the baby didn't come. This also leaves the chance if Noah will still try to do this even though everything fell apart in the marriage. Depending on how this will end, there are a lot of ambiguous answers.
