James Cromwell, American Horror Story actor was arrested last Friday during a power plant protest in New York, Us Weekly reports.

The 75-year-old actor who was fighting for justice, according to reports, looked insolent and raised his fist as New York State police handcuffed him and five other protesters. The authorities removed them from the power plant construction site that they had obstructed.

“Power to the people!” shouted Cromwell, a Warwick resident.

“Power to the people!” the 30 or so protesters shouted back.

According to the Times Herald, the CPV plant on Route 6 in the Town of Wawayanda has been the target of protesters who maintain the plant that emit toxins, causes cancer and asthma and will lower property values. They also say it might affect threatened species like the bog turtle and the northern long-eared bat, which live near the plant. The site is currently being cleared and graded.

In addition, reports say, that the Emmy Award winner, known for being an animal and environmental activist led a group of about 30 protesters in a chant before he was taken into custody for blocking the entrance to the Competitive Power Ventures power plant.

On another note, Cromwell has had a career spanning six decades and appeared in such TV shows as American Horror Story and films including The Green Mile, Star Trek: First Contact, Babe and The Artist.

Apparently, this is not the first time that the Babe actor was arrested, in 2013 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the star was arrested after interrupting a board meeting to protest a school research project that involved experiments on cats, Us Weekly wrote.

Cromwell and the five other protesters are expected to appear in court in January.
