It was not long ago that no one knew who Amal Clooney was and now she's not only rubbing elbows with Hollywood's elite, but with British royalty as well. In fact, there's a new report that says George Clooney and his wife attended an event in Buckingham Palace with fellow actor Pierce Brosnan for the 40th Anniversary of The Prince's Trust.

While the trio didn't meet Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Charles was on hand for the star-studded gala along with plenty of other British celebrities.

According to the Irish Examiner, Irish-born Brosnan shared a photo of him meeting Prince Charles on his Instagram account. The actor's wife Keely was on one side while Amal looked on from the other.

Brosnan captioned his photo with, "A wonderful night at The Palace... Buckingham Palace In the company of HRH Prince Charles...in Celebration of The 40th anniversary of The Prince's Trust which does exemplary work for young men and woman who have so much to give to the world. Accompanied by my darling beautiful Keely Shaye and Amal Clooney, who looked radiant."
The charming actor also added rather jokingly, "Sorry George, you got cut out of the photo. What a grand night to be in such company for a most worthy cause that changes lives for the better in so many ways."
