Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney have been dating for years, and welcomed their first child together months ago, but unfortunately for Bookout, they aren't yet engaged.

While the Teen Mom OG star has shared a number of suspicious photos on Instagram, one of which included what appeared to be an engagement ring, she recently confirmed she and McKinney are not headed down the aisle.

“I really didn’t think the Instagram photo would stir up so much controversy,” Bookout admitted to OK! Magazine on Tuesday.

As for a future proposal, Bookout didn't seem to hopeful. Instead, she claimed McKinney was put off by the constant speculation regarding the idea.

"I think a lot of the reason really has to do with pressure from everyone to get married," Bookout said of her boyfriend's failure to initiate their next step. "I know he wants it to be a surprise so with everyone asking about when we’re getting married it’s taking away from his desire to do it right now."

Bookout and McKinney welcomed daughter Jayde in May of this year after about two years of dating.
