The new Galaxy Note 3 may be unveiled by Samsung alongside the Galaxy Note 8 at the 2013 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain starting Feb. 25.

The rumors come as Verizon is reportedly offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with a slash in the price, according to KnowYouCell. The cellular network company will reportedly offer the device with a discounted price tag of $189, which could possibly indicate that the next-generate Note will be launched by the Korean company very soon.

The current rumored specs for the Galaxy Note 3 include a 6.3-inch display with full 1080p HD screen, the new Exynos 5 Octa processor, and at least 3GB of RAM. It is also rumored to come with a battery life increased by 70 percent, according to AutoMobile.

The MWC event begins Feb. 25 and lasts until Feb. 28.

Further rumors speculate that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 8 at the upcoming European tech show. Supposed leaked images of the Galaxy Note 8 allegedly displayed an ear piece that could possibly mean the device will act as both a smartphone and a tablet, according to ThinkDigit.com.

The rumored specs for the Galaxy Note 8.0 includes a 8-inch display, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 1280x800 resolution, a 5Mp rear facing camera, and an S-Pen stylus. Connectivity options such as Bluetooth version 4.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 is also said to be included. It is expected to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Either the Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy Note 8 will be unveiled at the event. Samsung has only confirmed that one new Galaxy Note will be unveiled.
