Does Bones standout T.J. Thyne hope to continue starring in the show through season 12 next year?

Brennan & Booth Will Feel Responsible For New Serial Killer's Murders On 'Bones'?

Thyne, who plays Hodgins on Bones, has some mixed feelings about season 12 possibly being the end of Bones. The show is currently in its 11th season and while a renewal has not yet been confirmed, the actor believes there's still enough stories to tell for a 12th season.

"I think [executive producers] Jonathan [Collier] and Michael [Peterson] have proven in Season 11 that there's still a lot to be told," Thyne told TVGuide.com recently. "I would love to see this journey continue for the characters. Having said that, I think all of us actors on the show have been doing this long enough that it's kind of like we're amazed at how long we've had on one particular journey, and we're so grateful for it.

"Inevitably, something has to come to an end at some point and if [we're] to, then I think it's going to tearful with lots of hugs and kisses and pats on the back. But there's a part of me though, that I feel like we've got more to say. I don't know how much more, but I feel there's definitely a ton of fuel still in the tank, and I could certainly see it going on and on for a while longer."

Bones season 11 does not have an official return date for Fox. The network has yet to make an announcement as to when the show will return, though Peterson recently said that he believes March or April to be the return date.

Fox is also dealing with lawsuits over their handling of the show, which could affect the show's future.
