This incredible aerial footage of a water-skier bravely navigating the flooded village of Cawood, in the Selby district of North Yorkshire was captured by a BBC helicopter crew.

As you can see on the video, the trees are visible, sticking up through the water, which can only mean that the area - houses, cars, and anything on ground must be pretty deep below sea level.

Parts of northern England, Scotland and Wales have been hit hard by rain and flooding over Christmas, with homes, cars and businesses submerged in water. It was devastating, but this brave man water skiing makes all the difference.
