Aside from his real estate career, Hadid has a much bigger story to tell, and in a recent report by Bravo, details from his difficult childhood were revealed.

"Mohamed was born in 1948 in Nazareth in what was then known as Palestine," the report stated. "After his birth, his mother took him to live with her mother in Damascus, Syria. Upon their return to the newly founded Israel, they learned that Mohamed's father, a professor of English at the University of Jerusalem, had been expelled, according to a 1998 profile on Mohamed in Regardie's."

As refugees, Hadid and his mother returned to Damascus, and was eventually reunited with his father. From there, the Hadid family moved to Beirut, Lebanon, and then to Washington, D.C., where Hadid entered the world of business.
