The series has dealt with major changes with the departure of Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), but it is still going strong with awesome storylines and superb acting from its stars like Ellen Pompeo (Dr. Meredith Grey on the show).

While the ABC medical drama won't be back on TV screens with new episodes until right before Valentine's Day next month, the cast is in a celebratory mood since they're the recipients of "Favorite Network TV Drama" at the People's Choice Awards that took place Wednesday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Plus, Pompeo earned the award for "Favorite Dramatic TV Actress" too!

"So first of all, that scream when they said 'Grey's Anatomy,' I'll never forget that," Pompeo said as she spoke at the awards show during the cast's acceptance speech.

She had a heartfelt message for the loyal fans too.

"And your enthusiasm keeps us going and makes us love going to work every day," she revealed.

The cast celebrated backstage taking lots of pictures with their shiny awards.

They all had huge grins on their faces!

Anyway, Pompeo took to Twitter on Thursday, revealing the thoughts from one of her children about the awards she brought home.

"'Mama did you bring me home another crystal?'" she tweeted.

How cute and funny, right?

It had to come from the mouth of Stella Luna since she is older than Sienna May, who was only born in 2014, but we imagine both of Pompeo's daughters are proud of her achievements.

Grey's Anatomy returns to ABC on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
