Musician Bryan Adams welcomed a little girl named Lula Rosylea, his second child, earlier this week. Rosylea is a Cockney slang term for a "cup of tea," according to multiple reports.

"My second daughter Lula Rosylea arrived at tea time this week," Adams posted on his Facebook page.

Little baby Lula was born in London. Both mother Alicia Grimaldi and daughter are doing great, according to The Daily Mail.

"The name Lula comes from Gene Vincent's 1958 song Be-Bop-A-Lula and Rosylea is a play on the expression 'a rosie lee' which is cockney rhyming slang in London for 'a cup of tea' and pronounced the same. She was born in London and... she's my cup of tea."

Adams posted a message early this morning on Twitter expressing his gratitude for the support and well wishes he received from his fans. "Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes," Adams tweeted. "Baby and mama are doing well))".

Adams and his partner Grimaldi gave birth to their first daughter Mirabella Bunny back in April 2011. And like Lula, Mirabella's given name had special significance.

"She arrived like all good Easter bunnies on Easter Friday," said Adams.

The Canadian-rocker came on the music scene with hits like Run To You and Summer of '69. When You Love Someone. (Everything I Do) I Do It for You was also a big hit for the musician thanks to the 1991 movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which starred Kevin Costner in the title role.

Grimaldi serves as a trustee to the rocker-turned-photographer's charity organization, the Bryan Adams Foundation. The foundation, mostly funded by Adams' work as a photographer, promotes education programs for young people worldwide.

11 was the last studio effort the artist put out in 2008 and according to a recent message on Twitter, Adams may be working on an untitled follow-up project.

"@Andy_Dufresne7 the new album is still being worked on, if we're lucky it will be done for the end of the year...stay tuned," Adams tweeted yesterday.
