When Bill and his party decided to explore the mysterious Amazon River, they found something that is rarely seen by the the people.

As they went to the deep part of the river, they were able to catch an amazing prehistoric fish called Arapaima. This creature is one of the biggest and oldest specimens in the river. It is also said that the fish is a decsendant of species who are 250 million years old.

The one that they captured was a long, 200-pound fresh water fish. The animal is strange because it needs to breath gulps of air before it can swim.

You could see the smiles of these men as they observe the prehistoric creature. Their trip is truly worth it once they saw the beautiful Arapaima.
