News of Michael Bay confirming he is directing Transformers 5, but that it would be his last movie in the franchise, has stirred up some interesting ideas.

Transformers 5 To Not Feature Humans?

If this will actually be Bay's swan song when it comes to the Transformers series, we are guessing he might be making it extra special, and probably in some sneaky way tipping a hat to his experience--from the first film until Age of Extinction--with the fifth installment. This is not to say that there wil be a dramatic story change, but probably an honorable cameo in the least by some of the major stars that kicked off the franchise, particularly Megan Fox.

Earlier last year, there was an inundation of rumors abotu Fox returning for Transformers 5, and this speculation might just gain some credibility. Fox had even suggested that she wouldn't mind dropping in for a cameo in the upcoming film.

Will Megan Fox Join The Age of Extinction Sequel?

Additionally, Bay is also involved in the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which Fox starred in, giving us more reason to believe that their association has only strengthened. Also, if Bay works with flashbacks or elements of a prequel in Transformers 5, the possibility of Fox's return can be very real.

Speaking to E! News in an interview dated August 4, 2015, the actress revealed that she would be interested in coming back on board if she was asked.

"If [Bay] ever wanted me to do a cameo like assembling an autobot motorcycle in a bike shop or something like that, I would totally do it," Fox said.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
