The drama ensues on Downton Abbey when characters discover some new surprises.

What's Next For Anna & Mr. Bates On 'Downton Abbey?'

In a promo released on Monday for the next episode, Violet asks Isobel if she has a drink during lunch. Isobel claims she hasn't, but it sounds like this will lead into some unwanted accusations.

Lady Edith is also going to get asked out where she seems pretty flattered. This gives insight on what's next down this road and if the woman will find someone she's been looking for.

Producer Gives Update On Possible 'Downton Abbey' Movie

Cora is also going to express disappointment in Mrs. Hughes. The promo doesn't get into too much detail on that, but overall, Cora will not be pleased with her. But conveniently, it sounds like the wedding for Hughes is coming up and the plan may be going accordingly.

Meanwhile, executive producer Gareth Neame previously opened up on how the series could have potentially lasted longer than six seasons. But one of the main reasons why tit's not is because of Maggie Smith (Violet).

"We easily could have gone for a seventh season, but if I'd have said, 'We haven't got Maggie,' it would have been a shadow of itself," Neame said via The Sun.

Despite that, Neame mentioned that it's still reasonable to let the series run its course at this point.

"We all feel very blessed," he said. "Nobody regrets ending when we did. We have a final season that's as strong as the first because we quit while we were ahead. We had the ambition that we had a complete show."

Downton Abbey airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on PBS.
