With a great number of dead characters returning to ABC's Once Upon a Time in the episodes to come, one in particular will integrate into the plot in interesting ways.

Will Neal Be Acknowledged After Emma Enters The Underworld On 'Once Upon a Time'?

Milah (Rachel Shelley), who notably died in season 2 at the hand of her husband Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle), is set to make her triumphant return in the second half of season 5. This is presumably part of our heroes' trip through the Underworld, as a new TVLine report makes clear.

Milah "has a big connection to two of our main characters," Once Upon a Time co-creator Edward Kitsis noted. "We don't want to spoil anything, but... wouldn't it be weird if she met Emma [Jennifer Morrison]? She and Emma might be an awkward meeting."

How Will Regina React To Reuniting With Those She's Killed On 'Once Upon a Time'?

Co-creator Adam Horowitz added, "I love the idea of Milah learning just how she is connected to all our characters!"

As star Lana Parrilla (who plays Regina) noted in a new E! News interview, the series is bringing back many characters from Once Upon a Time's past.

"We're taking everyone to the Underworld, so we're basically entering Hell, which is really exciting 'cause there's a lot of characters that have died on the show that are going to make an appearance in the second half of the season," Parrilla said. "So there's a lot of familiar faces that are coming back."

Such dead characters include Peter Pan (Robbie Kay), Cora (Barbara Hershey), Sidney Glass (Giancarlo Esposito) and more.

Once Upon a Time season 5 returns on Sunday, March 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
