Orange Is the New Black star Dascha Polanco recently spoke on the possibility of Matt McGorry's John Bennett returning to the Netflix series.

Will Pablo Schreiber Return To 'Orange Is the New Black' As 'Pornstache'?

Polanco, who plays Daya on the series, discussed with Bustle whether Bennett, who impregnated Daya and eventually left her and the baby behind, would return in season 4.

"Bennett coming back? Who knows!" she teased. "When a man leaves you, can we ever tell if they're coming back or not? We never know."

Based on Polanco's comments, it doesn't sound like we'll be seeing Bennett anytime soon. McGorry is also busy with his starring role on ABC's How to Get Away with Murder, so the possibility of him returning in any major way seems relatively unlikely.

Polanco previously spoke with Entertainment Weekly about whether she herself wants to see Daya and Bennett reunited again.

"I would love to see that, but you have to be realistic," Polanco answered. "He walked out of her life and her main priority right now is figuring out how she can take care of her child."

She also discussed how she wanted Daya to take more control of her life in the episodes to come.

"I want to see her break out of her shell. She needs to react more to situations," Polanco said, of Daya. "If the things that happen to her happened to me, I would be extremely upset, I'd be rebellious. So I'd like to see another side of her. I want to see her take the bull by the horns, grow up and stop worrying about her mother so much."

Orange Is the New Black season 4 will be released in full on Netflix on Friday, Jan. 17.
