Tyra Banks is officially a mommy! No, you didn’t miss any baby bump photos of the supermodel and television host. She revealed on Instagram Wednesday that she and her longtime boyfriend, Eric Asla, used a surrogate.
She shared a photo of an adorable baby hat and wrote, “The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. Yorks Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”

She also released a statement to People magazine just moments after.
The actress confirmed it has “not been an easy process,” but added that it was worth it.
“There was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father, Erik.”
She also shared her sentiments with other couples who are having similar problems conceiving and having a child.
“As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day. My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, Yorks Banks Asla, feels like in my arms.”
She recently shared her struggle on the daytime talk show FABLife, along with Chrissy Teigen, who revealed she and her husband John Legend were having trouble conceiving. Teigen is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child—a baby girl.
