The newly crowned Miss Universe is set to grace our screens once more - this time as a Super Bowl correspondent for Inside Edition. Pia Wurtzbach, who hails from the Philippines, said she's thrilled to be joining the team for next month's game in Santa Clara, California.

In a post on the Miss Universe Twitter account, Wurtzbach said that she was excited about her new role.

"I am so excited to announce that I'll be @InsideEdition's special correspondent at this year's Super Bowl!" Wurtzbach said.

"This will be my first time experiencing the biggest night in American sports, and I'm excited to take viewers behind the scenes in the lead-up to the big event," the 26-year-old added.

She will cover the game night along with another Inside Edition correspondent Megan Alexander. Pia will cover behind-the-scenes coverage during the game and exclusive interviews.

According to Executive Producer Charles Lachman, Pia is a natural fit as Inside Editions's Super Bowl Correspondent and she has the on-air poise that we look for in our talent.
