It might be safe to say that all hope is lost on The Originals.

Chatter On Mysterious New Vampire On 'The Originals'

For anyone who has yet to see the last episode that aired on Friday, stop reading now.

On Friday, Entertainment Weekly posted details from executive producer Michael Narducci who dished on what's to come now that Cami's a vampire and Jackson is dead. Even though viewers may have been wishing for the best in this moment, Narducci gave the impression that that's not really how it works in a series like this one.

Will Hayley & Elijah End Up Together On 'The Originals?'

"I think thematically season 3 is about how people who come into the orbit of this family are just as cursed as the family," the producer explained. "Nobody's safe. And everybody went into the episode thinking, 'Gosh I hope Cami's not dead,' and not expecting that they had to worry about one of their favorite characters not making it. So even in the midst of life, we are in the midst of death."

If anything positive does happen in the future, fans can expect more terrible things first.

"Yes, Cami managed to find a way to survive but we lost somebody else, and it's going to get worse before it gets better," Narducci said.

With Cami as a vampire, it sounds like there will be a lot to find out as she experiences that new life.

"I think she's in for a long transition into discovering who she's going to be as a vampire," Narducci said.

The Originals airs on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
