The outspoken Disney star opened up with New You magazine about past issues involving social media tussle with Modeliste mag on her previous digitally altered photos and her belief that every human is beautiful inside and out.

According to New You, the 19-years-old star called out Modeliste mag for unnecessary Photoshopping of her pictures, which she feels perpetually “unrealistic ideals of beauty.”

Zendaya On Career, Race & Cultural Appropriation

“There is no such thing as ugly,” Zendaya told the magazine. “That’s a word that doesn’t really enter my vocabulary. If there’s any definition to being perfect, you’re perfect at being yourself. No other person can be you 100 percent; no one has your fingerprint; no one has your DNA. You are you 120 percent, through and through.”

Previously, according to Us Weekly, October 2015 Zendaya Coleman criticized the Los Angeles-based fashion magazine after it digitally altered her already slender figure for its cover shoot.

Zendaya Claims People 'Can't Fault' Her Disney Predecessors For Figuring Themselves Out No Matter How They Did It

“Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated,” she captioned of the original photo and the photoshopped picture. “These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love.”

Meanwhile, whatever the singer and dancer did for being outspoken, is also a way of being honest with other people and especially herslelf.

“It’s important to find out who you are and love who you are. Everyone has a journey,” she shared. “No matter what you’re dealing with, it’s so much harder and more draining and so much more exhausting to be constantly pretending to be something that you’re not. It’s very freeing when you’re just like, “Yo, I’m just going to do me!” It’s so important.”

On another note, the K.C. Undercover star is also getting herself busy with Dancing With the Stars as she is part of the show and also penned a book entitled, Between U and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years With Style and Confidence.

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, the young actress released her new single, “Something New,” featuring Chris Brown and produced by Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.
