Fast and Furious 8 might actually take things to the next level if Charlize Theron agrees to come on board as a villain.

The Wire's Idris Elba To Join Fast and Furious 8?

Deadline reported that the movie was looking to cast a solo female villain for this movie and they had Theron in mind. This addition to Fast and Furious 8 could make things very exciting, especially given Theron's record playing gritty roles, most recently blowing audiences minds away as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. She has also played the steely villainous part in Snowhite and the Huntsman as Queen Ravenna.

This means that Jason Statham's return as Deckard Shaw would not make him the prime villain this time around. There has also been a lot of speculation about Shaw maybe changing sides and actually helping Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).
