Justin Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live for the fifth time on March 9 and this time he called in some of his friends to help with deliver his monologue.

During his opening piece, Timberlake boasted about his admittance to the "Five Timers Club," an exclusive New York organization reserved for five-time hosts. The 32-year-old singer, wearing a monogramed sweater from the VIP organization, was greeted by Paul Simon, Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd, Martin Short, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks, Chevy Chase and Candice Bergen.

That night Timberlake also served as SNL's musical performer. Jay-Z joined him on stage for their single Suit & Tie. He tweeted about his gig at around 4 a.m. on Sunday, posting, "Live from New York it's Saturday Night!" along with an Instagram photo of him backstage at the show, with the "On Air" light flashed on above.

Timberlake's spot on SNL boosted the show to its best ratings in over a year, according to the The Hollywood Reporter. The March 9 show put Nielsen ratings at 5.9 with a 15 share, the highest since a Jan. 7, 2012 SNL show hosted by Charles Barkley featuring musical guest Kelly Clarkson. The respective episode followed a prime-time NFL playoff game.

Ratings for the March 9 show also went up 23 percent from last week's airing, in which comedian Kevin Hart hosted and Macklemore with Ryan Lewis performed.

Saturday marked Timberlake's first time hosting the show since May 2011. His last episode brought 9.8 million viewers and 3.5 rating when final numbers were calculated. Final numbers for Timberlake's SNL will be available this week. Watch the video below to see Timberlake's monologue from his March 9 SNL episode.
