The morning after the world saw him propose on reality television, Sean Lowe announced Tuesday that he will join the cast of Dancing with the Stars, season 16.

The Bachelor star proposed to Catherine Guidici on the ABC reality series' finale Monday night and in his interview with Good Morning America the following morning, he revealed that he will join the celebrity dance competition. Lowe said he is already training with his new dance partner, Australian Peta Murgatroyd. The pair will compete with the rest of the celebrity cast when they take to the dance floor for the first time for the show's premiere, which will air on March 18.

"Hopefully, I won't make a fool of myself on the dance floor," Lowe said.

DWTS executive producer, Conrad Green, said about Lowe, "He's a great guy and it's a great story."

"He's the name on everyone's lips. And then the next day we announce he's going to be on our show. It's really good fun all around," Green added. "He's been training and he gets on well with his partner. He's a charming guy."

In last season of DWTS, an all-stars lineup of past contestants returning to the show, Murgatroyd was paired with actor Gilles Marini. The pair was sent home right before the semi-finals in a double elimination that also saw Kristie Alley and her partner Mak Chmerkovskiy go home. Former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft competed in the same season and took home the Mirror Ball trophy with her partner Tony Dovolani.

Other celebrities confirmed to compete in season 16 include Jacoby Jones, Lisa Vanderpump, Kellie Pickler, Wynonna Judd and Andy Dick. For a full list of the new cast and their partners, click here. The full lineup was announced on Feb. 26.
