Can fans expect a renewal for The Originals?

While an official answer to that question has yet to be announced, odds are looking pretty positive at this point. According to Tuesday's report from TV By The Numbers, the series is at a .41 in 18-49 ratings and at .62 in the renewal/cancel index.

The show is also in the section that is 'sure bet to be renewed by May 2016.' While no one should rejoice just yet, it might be safe to say that the supernatural drama could easily be back for a fourth season if ratings continue to run smoothly.

Other shows on The CW that stand a good chance of being renewed include The Flash, Supernatural and Arrow. The 100, iZombie and Legends of Tomorrow also might stick around.

The shows that have less of a chance of coming back for another season are Reign and Jane the Virgin. While odds aren't exactly terrible, they're not really great either.

And then there's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which seems more likely to be canceled at this point. But no one will know for sure until it's closer to the end of the season.

As for The Originals, there is still plenty to share, including what's next for Cami now that she's a vampire as well as the crossover episode when Stefan from The Vampire Diaries visits New Orleans.

The Originals airs on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
