The former pre-teen pop star took to his social media account to tell the world that he is indeed a Donald Trump fan. He wrote, "Does America want to have a president who FOLLOWS or someone who leads? I vote For @realdonaldtrump."

Unfortunately for Carter though, his followers slammed him for being a Trump supporter, calling him almost every name in the book while also accusing him of being a racist, too.

"Good thing I live in America and I have the right to my own opinion such as a lot of my NON supporters have for me at times," tweeted the singer, adding, "Some of the things Donald says I don't agree with but some I do. It is what it is."

He added: "People look for anything and any chance they can to hate me for something it's always SOMETHING I fight back."

According to Page Six though, Carter isn't the only celebrity to have gotten some backlash for supporting the controversial Trump. Other celebrity supporters include Kid Rock, Gary Busey, Azealia Banks, Tila Tequila, Stephen Baldwin, Mike Tyson, Jesse James, Ann Coulter, Hulk Hogan and Lou Ferrigno.
