Heidi Montag is about to let her true feelings out on public television.

Did Heidi Montag Throw Shade At Lauren Conrad On Twitter?

On Monday, Us Weekly posted a sneak peek of Lifetime series The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition where Montag shows up with her own mother, Darlene Egelhoff. Due to Egelhoff's criticism of her daughter's publicized plastic surgery, the reality star tearfully tells her mother how this made her feel.

"I honestly feel like you ripped my heart out of my soul when I needed you so badly," Montag says through her tears.

Egelhoff seems sincere with her apology when she responds to this.

"I don't want you to be responsible for my feelings," she says to her daughter. "This is a good, healthy pain that I'm feeling."

Apparently, Egelhoff told her daughter in the past that she thought she looked more beautiful before her cosmetic procedures and this created some bad blood. But during a therapy session in the premiere for the series, she explains what was going through her head at the time.

"I was just desperate to communicate with her in any way, and I just thought that was the only way I could do it," Egelhoff said. "I would do anything to be able to take that back."

The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition premieres on Tuesday, March 1 at 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime.

Montag has been married to her husband, Spencer Pratt, for six years now.
