Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice faced rumors that he cheated while she was in jail. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Teresa, opened up about it just weeks before he begins his own sentence.

“I know the truth,”s he told Radar Online at the Pennsylvania’s Mount Airy Casino Resort Saturday.

As for the photos that surfaced of Joe hanging out with mystery women and sparked the cheating rumors, Teresa said there is an explanation for that as well.

“They took pictures of him with his friends and the girls were with his friends.”

Still, the speculation and reports weren’t enough to put a damper on their marriage or have them filing for divorce as rumors claimed.

“We want to be with each other. If we didn’t want to be with each other, we wouldn’t be.”

That certainly seems true; especially since Joe was sentenced to three years in federal prison and has the chance of getting deported back to Italy when he is released. But Teresa maintains that they are still going strong.

“He’s here with me tonight. I’m still wearing my engagement ring!

She added that the two are taking things one day at a time and “enjoying each other’s company,” before he goes to prison.

They both pleaded guilty to serious federal fraud charges from bankruptcy to loan back in 2014. Teresa served less than a year after being sentenced to 15 months. She was released on Dec. 23. She is hoping that Joe’s jail time will “help” him overcome his struggle with alcohol abuse.

“He drinks a lot,” she said. He is slated to turn himself in on March 23.
