French Montana is the latest celebrity to dish on Rob Kardashian’s shocking romance with Blac Chyna amid speculation that the two have gone their separate ways because of family drama.

He told E! News this week, “I love the energy Rob has right now. He’s in such a happy spirit. That’s my little brother. We hang out…”

As for whether Blac Chyna is a good influence on Rob, he said, “I think anybody who makes you do great in life and motivates you is good for you.”

Interestingly enough, French himself has a connection to the Kardashian clan, as he used to date Khloe Kardashian. He maintained that he and Khloe are “best friends” after their split and that there is no awkward energy as he remains close to their family. But that’s not the only connection that made headlines; especially after Blac Chyna and Rob confirmed they are dating.

Blac Chyna was once engaged to Tyga, who is dating Rob’s youngest sister, Kylie Jenner. Blac Chyna and Tyga also have a son together. She was good friends Kim Kardashian at one point, so it was pretty surprising when Tyga moved on from Blac Chyna to Jenner, who was 17 at the time.

Speculation swirled that Blac Chyna and Rob split after they started to lay low on their social media posts about one another. Rob shut down split rumors on Instagram Monday.

 Chy and I are not broken up we just feel like it would be a lot healthier for our relationship if we kept a lot more to ourselves. He is said to have lost 40 pounds since he and Chyna started dating earlier this year.
