On Tuesday, Lavigne took to Instagram to post a new photo where she sits on a couch holding onto a guitar as she has a big smile on her face. And it just so happens that her separated husband is sitting next to her where he is also holding a guitar.

The two appear to be in great spirits despite the fact that their marriage is ending.

What's also interesting is that Lavigne didn't leave a caption in the photo, giving insight on what the status really is between these two. In fact, the two singers attended the Pre-Grammy party last month where the pop-rock star mentioned that it was a "lovely night."

Not too long after the split was announced, Lavigne added more photos on Instagram where she mentioned that she and Kroeger were writing new music together.
