Golf pro Tiger Woods and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn confirmed via social networks on March 18 that they are dating.

Vonn, 28, wrote on Facebook that she and Woods, 37, have evolved from friends to lovers. "I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy," she wrote.

She also added that she doesn't want to address the relationship further because she wants to keep the romance between her and Woods and their close friends and family. She ended her post with, "Thank you for understanding and your continued support! xo LV."

Woods included photos of the couple together and posted on his website, "We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes."

According to People, rumors that the two were dating started after Woods sent his private jet to bring Vonn home after she endured an accident at the Alpine World Championships in Austria. Vonn torn ligaments in her right knee and fractured her shin.

Woods's ex-wife Elin Nordegren has been reportedly dating billionaire Chris Cline.
