The reigning champion coach on NBC's The Voice Blake Shelton's new album was released on March 26.

The album titled Based On A True Story is considered light by Shelton, 36, accoridng to The Detroit Free Press. The Country Music Association's entertainer of the year and two-time winning coach on The Voice said "I'm the luckiest guy in the world right now."

But when it comes to The Voice, he said he wants to get back into performing but can't imagine not being a part of the show anymore, which premiered on March 25.

"Something has to give at some point, as it's like trying to hold back a river. I've got to get back to what I love most - which is performing live. That's why I got into this business," he said, according to Billboard.

However, it doesn't seem like the decision will be made too soon. This means he still has a chance at beating fellow coaches Adam Levine and the new coaches Usher and Shakira.

"I can't even think of all the things I've gotten to do because of that. So, I don't want to just give it up. I can't imagine me just sitting out a season," he said according to Billboard. "I think I'm either going to do it and keep doing it, or not. I don't see me walking away then coming back. That doesn't make sense to me. I think it's a phase, and once that chapter is over, it's over."

Singles on his new album include Sure Be Cool if You Did and Boys 'Round Here. And, Shelton said every song on the album is something he is going through or has been through.
